ALBEE BENITEZ TAKES OATH AS NEW BACOLOD MAYOR

I, Alfredo Abelardo Bantug Benitez, of Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City, having been elected to the position of City Mayor, do hereby solemnly swear, that I will faithfully discharge to the best of my ability, the duties of my present position and of all others that I may hereafter hold under the Republic of the Philippines; that I will support and defend the Constitution of the Philippines; that I will bear true faith and allegiance of the same; that I will obey the laws, legal orders and decrees promulgated by the duly constituted authorities of the Republic of the Philippines; that I impose these obligations upon myself voluntarily, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion. SO HELP ME GOD.

Oath Taking Ceremony of Mayor-Elect Albee Benitez

Ending the long reign of his rival in the recent Bacolod City election, Mayoralty-elect Albee Benitez took his oath of office May 26 to officially begin a new term on July as the chief executive of the capital city of Negros Occidental.


Benitez took his oath before Punong Brgy. Rosinie Distrito of Barangay Singcang .

Also sworn in were re-electionist Congressman Greg Gasataya and other winning ASENSO Councilors.


Barangay Singcang delivered the biggest margin of votes for Mayor Albee and Cong. Greg with 5,662 votes and 7,247 votes respectively.

He also said he will go the extra mile in governance and service for Bacolod City. *
